SYRACUSE, N.Y.-In a league devoid of name-brand wide receivers from 2008, Bruce Williams stood alone after four games.

The Syracuse senior ranked fifth nationally with 124.6 receiving yards per game coming into Saturday's contest, and was seventh in the country with 8.2 receptions per game.

Against West Virginia before 40,144 laid back Orange football supporters, Williams, a 6-foot-2, 211-pound three-year starter, caught two passes for 55 yards, one touchdown and a long of 55.
