Browning has offers, hoping for more
Everman (TX) senior Barry Browning was starting at safety midway through the 2009 season for one of the best defenses in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex when the team's starting quarterback was injured. He had already totaled 88 tackles and three interceptions at the time but was so good at his new position that he never went back to the old one. Browning wound up with over 600 yards rushing and helped lead Everman to the regional finals this past where their season ended with a loss to Aledo.
Now, the 6-foot, 175-pound defender is starting to focus on playing football on the next level and he is off to a good start in that regard with offers from schools such as Stanford, SMU, Duke, North Texas and UTEP. Now, it appears that another school might be entering the mix.
