Spring Recap: Backfield Breakdown

InsidetheGators.com Tim Tebow ran out of eligibility, Jeff Demps ran track and Chris Rainey ran off to another position.
That left the Florida backfield light on numbers -- and experience -- but high on question marks this spring. However, when all was said and done, this group had, for the most part, acquitted itself well.
John Brantley, Tebow's successor, showed the hype about his abilities might be justified. His backup, early enrollee Trey Burton, seemed to improve with every practice. Tailback Mike Gillislee displayed the type of tough running style the Gators will need with Tebow no longer around. And both fullbacks, T.J. Pridemore and Steven Wilks looked like players more than capable of doing the dirty work when the Gators work from the I-formation.
