Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha defensive tackle Darian Cooper trimmed his list of scholarship offers down to a final eight schools earlier this month. The 6-3, 275-pound prospect had a difficult time cutting some schools off from consideration, but he is pleased that task has been accomplished.

Michigan was included among Cooper's finalists after the Maryland native had a chance to visit their school with his mother and younger brother back in May.
