Muschamp Comes Home
Will Muschamp played at Georgia, coached at Auburn and LSU, and shares a beach condominium with Florida State's Jimbo Fisher. But during the energetic 39-year-old's introductory press conference as Florida football coach Tuesday night, one thing became perfectly clear as he spoke about his childhood years living in Gainesville.
Despite those ties, he always had some Gator in him.
"Growing up in Gainesville was fun," Muschamp said. "My two brothers, Mike and Pat, we had a lot of good backyard football games at 1122 N.W. 22nd street off 8th avenue. Mike was [former UF quarterback] Wayne Peace, Pat was [former UF receiver] Tyrone Young and I was [former UF safety] Tony Lilly."
