Tuneups over, league play looms
Missouri beat North Alabama 98-58 on Wednesday night. And that's about all the discussion needed before turning the attention to Big 12 Conference play, which begins on Saturday afternoon in Boulder. The easy games? Those ended on Wednesday.
Missouri enters league play on a high note, matching the best start in school history with 14 wins in 15 games. Only a 19-second lapse at the end of an overtime loss to Georgetown separates the Tigers from perfection.
The Tigers, ultimately, may have bigger goals in Big 12 play than beating the Buffs. But those goals start with a win in Boulder.
"It's the best league in the nation, in my opinion," English said. "Even the teams at the so-called bottom, there are some really good teams
Everybody's in first place and everybody's in last place. We're all zero and zero."
Only until Saturday. The Tigers and Buffs tip off at 12:30 Central on Saturday.
