The second member of LSU's junior class has decided to get a head start on his dreams of a NFL career.


Running back Stevan Ridley, who enjoyed a breakout season with more than 1,000 yards, said Thursday he would bypass his senior season and join All-American cornerback Patrick Peterson in this year's NFL Draft.

"I'm going to declare for 2011 NFL Draft," Ridley said.
