Preparations for 2011 football season underway

Warchant.com Fresh off the heels of a top ranked recruiting class, the Florida State coaches and players have already begun the initial preparations for the 2011 football season. Even though the opener against Louisiana-Monroe is still over six months away, this week the players kicked off the off-season conditioning program now known as "Fourth Quarter Drills."
For decades under former head coach Bobby Bowden, the players completed pre-dawn "mat drills" inside of Tully Gymnasium in February and early March.
The basic goal of the new Fourth Quarter Drills is the same, but the workouts have taken on a much different feel under the direction of second-year head coach Jimbo Fisher.
