Gill likes players, potential, and work ethic of D-Line
EAST LANSING - Pat Narduzzi expects the front four to be the strength of the Michigan State defense this season. The Spartan defensive coordinator also expects the group to be the best defensive line the program has put on the field in the five years he has been at Michigan State with Mark Dantonio.
Spartan defensive line coach Ted Gill stopped short of predicting unprecedented success for the group, but the veteran assistant likes the pieces he has at his disposal at both defensive end and defensive tackle. Gill also feels good about the large defensive line recruiting class that signed last February.
"I think that there are a lot of good players out there and they are guys that work hard," Gill explained. "They have bought into what we are trying to do and I am pleased with where they are at this point. I am excited about where we are. We have some new guys coming in and hopefully we can get those guys to do the same things. It takes awhile. It is a process trying to get guys in the right position to play and do different things. I am pretty excited with this group."
