UA Game Shows Phillips Work is Ahead

SoonerScoop.com It may have been a long time ago by his calendar but Jordan Phillips still remembers what he saw in St. Petersburg, Fla. When he arrived at the Under Armour All-American game. Phillips thought he was ready to be a star on the biggest stage, but the 6-foot-6, 290-pound prospect got a taste of just what the jump to college football will be like in a few months.
"It was shell-shock for me. I didn't know that they would be a lot of ahead of me, I was just really far behind," Phillips said. "I just don't have any technique, when I came to the OU camp, coach (Jacke) Shipp was just working technique, basic stuff.
"I really didn't know what to do or anything. As soon as I get that down though, I think I can do some things."
