Still on the board
University of Tulsa fullback and tight end Charles Clay wrapped up his college career this past season, and began working to improve his stock for the onging NFL Draft. He met with several NFL teams and put in good workouts at the NFL combine and Tulsa's Pro Day, and Clay hopes to be selected in today's final rounds.
"Yeah, it's kind of exciting," he told the National Football Post earlier this month. "At the same time, I'm ready for it to be over with. I'm pretty much ready to know my situation so I can prepare myself mentally. It's not too stressful.
"If I get drafted, I'll be happy. I don't worry too much about it. I don't worry myself to death."
Clay met with the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints over the past few weeks, and he spoke to the Baltimore Ravens at the Senior Bowl. The 6-foot-3 and 245-pounder also met with Denver, St. Louis, Miami and the New York Jets at the scouting combine.
