Some may say that athletes overcome adversity each time they set foot on a field or make it through a grueling workout.

But for the many New Orleans high school football football players that were displaced by Hurricane Katrina, adversity takes on a whole new meaning.

Klein (Tx.) Klein Oak S Dashone Smith is one of those former Louisiana residents and says that that experience is one that has changed him forever.
