Vigor (Prichard, Ala.) defensive tackle Darius Philon's decommitment from Auburn Monday opened up a spot on the Tigers' commitment list.

Tyler Nero didn't waste any time filling it.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Nero committed to Auburn Tuesday morning replacing the departed Philon and giving the Tigers 13 commitments again in the 2012 class.

Nero chose Auburn over offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Arkansas, Clemson and Kentucky, among others.
