Diamond slows down recruitment
Chicago Simeon offensive lineman Jordan Diamond has schools all over the country competing for his signature. However, recruiting is not his focus right now. He's more concerned about leading his team to an undefeated season.
Turning his focus to the field, instead of the recruiting process, has paid dividends for Simeon. They defeated Chicago Vocational 41-0 last night, thanks to improved play by the front line.
Michigan seemed like an early front-runner for Diamond's services. His former teammate, Chris Bryant, is a freshman at Michigan, which helped give the maize-and-blue an early leg up. He hasn't mentioned Michigan lately, but he insists that's because he's not worried about recruiting at this time.
Diamond visited Wisconsin last week, but he doesn't have any more visits lined up until after his season comes to an end. If he manages to make it to Ann Arbor during the season, it will likely be for the Ohio State game.
