Harris opens things up, planning trips

Rivals.com Football Recruiting Mesquite (Texas) Horn cornerback DeVante Harris seemingly came out of nowhere to have a huge camp season this past spring and summer. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound defender showed himself to be one of the best cover corners in the country.
Though the national attention did not come until that point Harris had actually seen a few offers roll in prior to that. In April he committed to Oklahoma and did not look back. That is, until this past weekend.
After a dominating week of practice at the Under Armour All-American Game the Rivals250 prospect shocked almost everybody by announcing he was de-committing from the Sooners. In the three days since, Harris has added offers from a number of high-profile schools.
