Long-snapper is typically a position on the football field that doesn't receive a lot of attention unless something is going wrong. So far, so good for true freshman John DePalma.

DePalma, a Cumming, Ga. native, was one of the late signees in West Virginia's 2012 recruiting class selecting a scholarship from the Mountaineers over preferred walk-on opportunities at Purdue, South Carolina and Stanford.
