Rebuilding the WVU O-Line Is Key Moving Forward
In about two months when spring football rolls around, West Virginia is faced with challenges on all three sides of the ball. Defensively, WVU personnel will have to adjust to anything Keith Patterson decides to change. On special teams, finding a new kicker and punter that can do their job consistently is a task and finally on offense, West Virginia is to replace eight starters on offense.
Now clearly replacing Geno Smith, Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin is daunting, but retooling Bill Bedenbaugh's offensive line, which loses Jeff Braun, Josh Jenkins and Joe Madsen, will be just as important. If Dana Holgorsen wants an offense that is going to put over 6000 yards of total offense throughout the season like he's used to, the root of that starts with the offensive line.
