Ole Miss preview
Mississippi State missed a chance to capitalize on a three-game homestand to end their current losing streak.
The Bulldogs have dropped six straight and in order to put an end to that skid tonight they will have to do so at archrival Ole Miss at 8 p.m.
MSU came close in their last two contests falling in overtime to Texas A&M last Wednesday and on a game-winning shot by LSU's Anthony Hickey with 1.5 seconds remaining on Saturday.
The Bulldogs have fared favorably well against Ole Miss leading the series 139-106. State has knocked off the Rebels more than any other program including six of the last seven outings. Ole Miss has the edge in Oxford 78-43 but the Bulldogs have won three of the last four inside Tad Smith Coliseum.
The Magnolia State rivals split last year's matchups. The Rebels 75-68 at home behind a 17-point effort from Nick Williams. Mississippi State won the rematch in Starkville 70-60 with Arnett Moultrie leading the way with 18 points.
