Alan Dunn turned in a spectacular job in his first season as LSU pitching coach.

The Tigers' earned run average dropped nearly one run from the preceding campaign. LSU finished the 2012 season with a 3.25 ERA. Tigers pitchers struck out more than three times as many batters as they walked - 573 strikeouts and 160 bases on balls.
