What a difference a year can make at just one position in the Oklahoma defense. A year ago, Oklahoma wondered how it would ever get through a season with only two experienced defensive ends after Larry Birdine was lost to a shocking injury in the preseason.

But the Sooners were able to piece together a season with C.J. Ah You and Calvin Thibodeaux with a little backup help from Auston English and Alan Davis. This season expects to be a much different story. The Sooners will actually have talented defensive ends battling for playing time. There are actually too many defensive ends to fill a capable rotation.
