To get to Lake Okeechobee, Fla., you have to want to be there. Equidistant from both the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico shores, it rests just north of the Everglades. But once you arrive, you will find nearby Belle Glades and Glades Central, where a small brigade of Division I-A athletes reside.
