Douglas can't wait to get to Iowa City
Up until late January, Dominique Douglas was planning on studying sports medicine at the University of Iowa. But, a rare opportunity had Douglas following in the footsteps of Reggie Bush and being selected by NFLHS.com as a reporter covering media day at the Super Bowl held in his hometown of Detroit. Now, as Douglas prepares for football at Iowa, he is also thinking about a possible media career as well.
"When they called me about the opportunity at the Super Bowl, I was really surprised," Douglas said. "It was a really fun experience to talk to the guys in the NFL and find out what it takes to get to where they are today and their college careers."
One of the highlights for Douglas was the opportunity to visit with Steelers running back and fellow Detroit native, Jerome Bettis
"Jerome is a Detroit guy, so we really had a great talk about school and what it is like at the college level. He was really helpful to me," said Douglas.
