Several Arkansas products attended NIKE Training Camps over the weekend, and some have big plans coming up soon.
Fort Smith Northside linebacker prospect Matt Jones ran the shuttle in 4.25 seconds and had a 30-inch vertical leap. Teammate Kodi Burns, a quarterback, stood out at the Elite 11 workout in Atlanta last weekend.
"It sounds like he's busy with basketball right now too, which doesn't help, but I think he has a good future," StudentSports.com's Brian Stumpf said. "Kodi Burns is clearly a great athlete and football player. Throwing wise, he made some good throws and some not so good throws like all the kids there. He does show good arm strength when he sets his feet and is balanced, but like a lot of predominantly shotgun QBs, he struggles a little bit dropping and throwing on balance. Overall though Kodi is a great prospect with big upside."
