Bowden, Swinney drop in on Matthews Thursday

TigerIllustrated.com On Thursday Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden and wide receivers coach Dabo Swinney paid a visit to Cheraw defensive end Cliff Matthews. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder is one of the state's top five prospects overall regardless of position on Tigerillustrated.com's board, and has the offers to prove it, holding full rides from Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, Auburn, Virginia Tech, N.C. State, and Georgia.
Matthews said the Gamecocks, to date, have sent the most mail while North Carolina text-messages the most.
Today South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier will be in along with assistant David Reaves.
As for Clemson's visit, Matthews said Bowden's message to his coaches centered around taking another unofficial visit.
