Taylor arrested for marijuana possession
Texas Longhorn running back Ramonce Taylor was arrested this weekend after Bell County Sheriff deputies discovered an estimated five pounds of marijuana in the rear of his vehicle.
Taylor remained in the Bell County Jail on Sunday afternoon on possession of marijuana over five pounds charges, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Officials at the Bell County Sheriff's office have indicated that a live 40-caliber round of ammunition was also found in Taylor's vehicle.
The arrest stemmed from a report filed at 1:34 a.m. Sunday of a fight at a pecan farm in Little River, just east of Belton, Taylor's hometown.
