In loss, Victor Anderson gained his football life
MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia football recruit Victor Anderson eulogizes his grandmother everyday in the best way he knows how.
"I play for her. Everything I do is because of her," Anderson said as he was visiting the WVU head coach Rich Rodriguez individual football camp, which moved indoors Monday morning because of rain.
Anderson was in street clothes, while two of his Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier teammates were taking part in camp, quarterback Chris Wade and receiver-holder Daniel Passafiume.
Although he received an offer last summer and committed to the Mountaineers almost immediately, the state of Kentucky Mr. Football came to meet players and see more of Morgantown.
He said he might take official visits to Louisville, Notre Dame, Michigan and/or Michigan State before the Feb. 7 national letter of intent signing date, in part because of the late Lola Mae Reynolds, too.
