Gatson looking to follow in father's footsteps?
In regards to the rising seniors who attended the 2006 Houston Nutt Camp in Fayetteville, Ark., perhaps none improved their stock as much as Germantown, Tenn., defensive back Greg Gatson.
Gatson, 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, is the son of former Razorback Greg Gatson, who played under Ken Hatfield in the mid-1980s. Gatson put up some fast times at the camp and likely projects to cornerback on the collegiate level.
"In the hand held I ran a 4.47, and in the electronic I ran a 4.62," Gatson said. "He played in 85, and he played cornerback, too - same position I play. He did pretty good. He played with Ken Hatfield. I always wanted to be an Arkansas Razorback. I'd like to be one myself, though - like my dad."
Gatson picked up a few tricks along the way, but he said coming into the camp he had the confidence that he would shine among several quality campers.
