Fort Smith Northside quarterback Kodi Burns is a regular on the AAU basketball circuit with the Arkansas Hawks.

However, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Burns has basically been taking a break from hoops for a few weeks to work out with his high school football teammates in anticipation of his senior season.

Burns has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Arkansas, Kansas State, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Auburn.
