Voluntary workouts continue for football team
The Arizona Football team continue voluntary workouts and keep having near full participation. Both lines worked out separately in the last workout we attended, but 7-on-7's became very competitive between the talented young receiving corps and the young defensive backs.
Willie Tuitama was on key throughout the day and seems to really be improving going against such a tough secondary. However, because it was a friendly game he went deep for the big score more than normal. He seems to have taken a liking to throwing the ball at the young receivers but still his target of choice is still Mike Thomas.
Thomas caught two touchdowns on the day albeit one was debated for a while by the defense. On one play Thomas took a five-yard pass up the field untouched and another was a deep ball of which Thomas caught, arguably, in bounds for a thirty-yard touchdown. Thomas has added more size to his frame from last season and looks poised for the year everyone expects him to have.
