Lamar Milstead and Marvin Austin each enjoyed outstanding junior seasons in leading Washington, D.C., Coolidge to the city title game, and as they head into their senior season, each are ranked among the top players in the country at their respective position.
Milstead, a North Carolina verbal commit, and Austin have elected to follow assistant head coach Todd Amis to nearby Ballou High School, where they will play in 2006.
"Both of them are great leaders, on and off the field," said Amis.
"Both have excellent work ethics, and both are high-character kids."
"They play right beside each other on offense, and they are very instrumental in our running game," he added.
"Dwan Thornton rushed for 1,900 yards last year, and 75 percent of the yards he gained were behind Lamar and Marvin."
