A changed man?
To say that things are different surrounding Tennessee football this fall is a given. What one means by 'things are different' depends on who you are. For the Tennessee players, different starts with a changed head coach.
"He has changed a lot," senior Justin Harrell said. "He is paying attention to a lot more details. He is not letting anything slide. It is a lot more focused on the team and not individuals. He has changed from last year."
Harrell said he could not point to one moment of change, but acknowledged that there have been some tense times in the last year.
"We had a couple of heated meetings where he really just gave it to us," Harrell said. "And that was expected. We had gotten to the point where we were doing dumb things and it needed to be addressed. Just seeing his fire shows us how much he wants to get this program back to where it was."
Phillip Fulmer admitted that he was different having gone through last year's 5-6 season.
