Newcomers looking for early playing time

GoPowercat.com He had stepped on the scales, but hadn't yet touched a playbook. One day away from Kansas State's fall camp, already safety Antwon Moore knew the ensuing weeks prior to season opener on Sept. 2 would be vastly different than anything he had experienced at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
The 5-foot-10, 209-pounder grinned Friday, remembering all-too well his introduction to the new level at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
"Earlier this summer, we were doing 7-on-7s and I was guarding Jordy Nelson," he said. "We were going one-on-one and I realized how fast Jordy was. I came across some pretty fast guys in juco, but it's like a 360."
