Offense Bounces Back
The Cal offense rebounded from a rough couple days with a good effort on Thursday that left head coach Jeff Tedford quite pleased.
"The tempo was good out there today," said Tedford. "There was good intensity. I'm very happy with how we practiced."
The Bears practiced in should pads, helmets and shorts for over 2 1/2 hours at Memorial Stadium. Full pads and contact begins tomorrow.
Sophomore quarterback Nate Longshore shook off yesterday's rust and was on target all day long. He hit 7of 13 passes during a couple 11-on-11 drills (with a couple drops) and his throws showed more zip than they had the first few practices. He also didn't throw any interceptions and handled all his snaps flawlessly.
