Baker battles for playing time
From Rocky Calmus to Rufus Alexander, the Oklahoma football program under Bob Stoops has been well known for developing some of the most elite linebackers to play collegiate football over the past seven years.
Current linebacker Lewis Baker has been fighting for time on the field since arriving at Oklahoma in 2003. Since participating in 10 games as a linebacker his true freshman season Baker has found himself tossed around from secondary to linebacker over the past two seasons.
After finishing second on the team with six tackles in the teams scrimmage this past weekend Baker hopes he has solidified his return to linebacker and his anticipated position of first linebacker off the bench. He did nothing Saturday to hurt his bringing his chances of seeing significant playing time to fruition.
