Johnson has options
There were several Louisiana offensive linemen in the 2007 recruiting year that the LSU coaching staff wanted to evaluate in person at the Les Miles Tiger Football Camp this summer as there was not a whole lot known about the prospects due to the flux of last years high school football season from hurricane Katrina.
One of those prospects was offensive guard Rishaw Johnson of Hammond High. During the summer, it was believed that Johnson would return to New Orleans and O.P. Walker High School for his senior year. However, he has decided to remain at Hammond High and will be coached by Carmon Moore.
Johnson gave his verbal commitment to Ole Miss in June but it is obvious now that pledge is fragile as LSU and Florida State have both extended scholarship offers.
