NU Notes: Huskers simulate game day
The Nebraska football team conducted a closed door game simulation practice inside Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
Head coach Bill Callahan led his team through a two-hour practice that focused on several game situational moments that should help his team get better prepared for next Saturday's season opener against Louisiana Tech.
"With the new facility being in place, we're coming out of a new end (of the stadium) and the logistics are a little bit different," Callahan said.
"I wanted to make sure everyone knew where we are going and what's going on, especially when you have newcomers on your football team. I think it's good to orientate those players to what you normally do in a gameday situation."
"We went through a mock situation of pre-game, halftime and post game so all the players know exactly what's expected of them on game day. They'll know where they're going, what they're doing and what's going to take place on actual game day sequences."
