Wildcats must show improvement against FAU
It may be only the second game of the season, but the time has already arrived for Coach Ron Prince's Kansas State Wildcats to show some needed improvement. Even Prince agrees. "We expect to win and win now and in the near future," he told a group of Manhattan K-State boosters on Thursday night.
OK, so if the future is now in Prince's mind, the Wildcats need to not only win against lowly Florida Atlantic, but look good in the process. There are no points for style, but there is confidence to be built as the schedule prepares to get much tougher in the coming weeks.
Florida Atlantic, a 54-6 loser last Saturday at No. 18 Clemson, will have better overall team speed than Illinois State, but that may be FAU's only advantage over Illinois State, the Division I-AA power the Wildcats beat last week to open the season.
