AU defense pitches shutout in SEC opener
It didn't take Will Muschamp long to get his first shutout at Auburn. Two games actually.
The first-year defensive coordinator guided the Tiger defense Saturday that held Mississippi State to 161 total yards, 79 of which came on the ground.
With Bulldog starting quarterback Michael Henig out with a broken collarbone, MSU was forced to play redshirt freshman Tray Rutland. The end result was Rutland going 12-for-25 for just 82 yards and an interception.
