Dye's fate to come soon
A ruling on Xavier Dye's prep eligibility could come as early as later today.
The Clemson verbal commit met with his attorney Chuck Allen on Thursday at the state courthouse in Columbia to determine his athletic eligibility.
"The judge (James R. Barber III) said he might have a decision within 24 hours," Dye told Tigerillustrated.com Thursday afternoon. "Chuck gave him all of my information, so the judge is going to look over it and get back to us."
Dye had been ruled ineligible by the South Carolina High School League after moving with his uncle from the Greenwood school district to Duncan (SC) James F. Byrnes this past off-season. The SCHSL ruled the move didn't constitute a bona fide change of address.
