Mobile, Ala., McGill-Toolen High School CB and Cane commitment Phelon Jones had a UM coach watching on from the sidelines at his last game.

Defensive backs coach Tim Walton made the trip to Alabama to watch a 21-7 win in which Jones didn't get a chance to make much of an impact.

"We didn't need me much on offense, and no one wants to throw it to my side on defense," Jones said.

Jones' team now has a 3-1 record.
