On The Line: Last season, the Jayhawks ranked 11th nationally in total defense. KU has some new faces in the starting lineup on the defensive side of the ball this season, but there's been minimal drop-off in production. The bookends on KU's defensive line are senior ends Rodney Allen (6-3, 290) and Paul Como (6-2, 250). Como has 18 tackles this season, including six behind the line of scrimmage and three quarterback sacks. The Jayhawks are anchored up front by junior tackle James McClinton (6-1, 284) and senior nose tackle Wayne Wilder (6-3, 310). They've recorded four tackles behind the line of scrimmage between the two of them.
