WVU's 2007 commits, prospects shining
As September turns into October, the West Virginia football coaching staff finds itself on the road for the weekend scouting members of the Class of 2007. The Mountaineers have already received an unprecedented 15 commitments from seniors in high school. They could sign as many as 23 before National Letter of Intent Day rolls around in February of next year.
The focus thus far has been on offensive linemen and quarterbacks, but coach Rich Rodriguez said Tuesday the ambition now is also to go after "skill players," presumably on offense and then defense.
