Cincinnati, Ohio, La Salle defensive end Ben Martin had been to South Bend before, but this weekend during his official visit to Notre Dame the Irish may have gained some ground in the recruiting process.

"I have a real good feel for Notre Dame, way better than what I had before," Martin said. "It's just a great place and I want to take a couple of other visits to see how I fit in at other places. After I take my visits I'm going to sit down and see at what place I felt best and I'm just going to go there."
