Brown takes in Red River Shootout
From the minute most players come up in Oklahoma or Texas, the first weekend of October becomes a fixture on their couch. Watching all the great Sooners and Longhorns try and win the game that is a big measuring stick for how successful each team's season is.
For players not tied to the Red River Valley, it's a bit of a learning process to understand just what the game means to those involved with it. However, for many like Wichita (Kan.) East linebacker Arthur Brown it doesn't take long to get caught up in the excitement.
Brown, who put in a 12 a.m. departure on Saturday morning before the game and an immediate drive back to Wichita following the game to see the Sooners play went with his family, and brother Bryce Brown.
Brown wouldn't speak for the rest of his family but was clear that he was rooting for Oklahoma.
