Like most players, Shoemaker (TX) defensive end Eugene Daniels has had an up and down beginning to his season. That has not stopped him from achieving one of the goals he had for this season.

Daniels, whose father recently returned home for two weeks from overseas, said recruiting will now be easier that he can talk to his dad face to face.

Daniels added that he has been handling a lot of calls from schools recently as the recruitment period is heating up, especially for the six teams that have offered him.
