Michael Smith 5-7, 170 ~ RS Frosh Tailback Tallahassee, Fla. Michael Smith has been voted Top Hawg by the subscribers of HawgSports.com
after the Razorbacks' 63-7 win over Division I-AA opponent Southeast Missouri State in Fayetteville (Ark.).
Smith did several things for the first time on Saturday. He reached the 100-yard rushing mark with 8 carries for 116 yards. He also scored the first two touchdowns of his career on runs of 10 and 11 yards. Smith returned his first kickoff attempt 48 yards to the SEMO 27-yard line. Smith has been plagued with hamstring injuries since he arrived at Arkansas. He probably would have played as a true freshman if not for those problems. He re-injured a hamstring in fall camp, and it set him back further, but he has stayed healthy since that incident and saw important carries against Vanderbilt and Alabama. Smith chose the Hogs over Auburn, Florida, Purdue and Northwestern coming out of Rickards High School.

Randy Kelly 6-0, 185 ~ Senior Strong Safety Brandenton, Fla. Randy Kelly has been voted Top Hawg by the subscribers of HawgSports.com
after the Razorbacks' thrilling 24-23 double overtime week four home win over the University of Alabama.
Kelly made a game changing play when he scooped up an Antwain Robinson forced fumble on Bama quarterback John Parker Wilson and dashed 39 yards for a touchdown. It was the first turnover recovery for the Razorbacks on the season. In addition to that, Kelly played an oustanding game in logging 13 tackles. Kelly is in his third year starting, and he has logged time at both strong and free safety. He came on extremely well towards the end of last season, but he has not played up to that form so far this season until the Razorbacks hosted the Crimson Tide. Kelly was a three-star recruit out of Coffeyville Community College.
