Marve's stock continues to climb
Back in June when Alabama picked up a verbal commitment from Plant High School quarterback Robert Marve it barely caused a ripple on the national recruiting scene. But what the world didn't know the Alabama staff did and after the Tampa native camped in Tuscaloosa, he quickly earned a Tide offer and was just as quick to jump on it.
Since that time Marve has become perhaps the hottest player in the South. Last week the 6-foot-1, 190-pound gunslinger led Plant to the district championship with a thrilling come from behind victory over rival Jefferson and quarterback Stephen Garcia and this week he broke the Hillsborough County passing touchdown record with his 34th of the year and an undefeated regular season.
