Aerial attack emerges just in time for Koetter
It took 10 games, several months of work and an awful lot of soul-searching, but Arizona State's offense finally looked quite a bit like its familiar self in Saturday's 47-14 win over Washington State. Fan frustration, which had seemingly reached an all-time high in the Koetter-era with the team's blowout loss to Oregon State a week earlier, calmed a bit, though it was perhaps replaced by some degree of perplexity.
How does an offense play so poorly on the road, lose 44-10, see its quarterback complete a mere 9-of-27 passes for a measly 124 yards, see arguably its top wide receiver lost for the season with a knee injury, and then come back the following weekend and have its best performance of the season?
