Leading by example
Trojan safety Kevin Ellison was supposed to be a nice complement to Josh Pinkard in the defensive backfield this season. But when Pinkard went down, Ellison became the most experienced safety as a true sophomore. We talked to Kevin about the Oregon blowout in this report from Monday's practice.
Ellison has been playing extremely well this season and Saturday was no exception. Kevin had 7 tackles including one for an 8-yard loss and he forced a fumble.
His run support against the spread offense was superb, including a couple of blitzes that cut down the option.
