Bittersweet weekend for Longhorn commit
As far as weekends go, you'll have to excuse Plano (Texas) East linebacker Keenan Robinson if his mind and heart weren't totally set on having a rip-roaring good time while he was on his official visit to Texas this weekend.
Oh, Robinson reported that he had a terrific time this weekend, but the truth of the matter if that the four-star linebacker that emerged this season as the state's top defensive prospect feels like he should still be playing for a state championship.
It was just a little more than a week ago when an injury to Plano East starting quarterback Riko Smalls helped Spring Westfield overcome an early 11-point deficit to knock off Robinson and Co. 31-27 in Round Rock.
For Robinson, traveling 20 minutes north of the site of last week's heartbreaking conclusion to his prep career for his official visit to Texas was definitely bittersweet.
